BLACK RAIN by JETTIE WOODRUFF

BLOG TOUR
BLACK RAIN
by Jettie Woodruff
Genre: New Adult

BY ASHLEIGH GIANNOCCARO

Jettie is one of my go to authors when I need a book with just the right balance of angst and feels. Black Rain was just what I needed, a wonderful story full of both.

When we meet Mikki and Pea they are on the run, we slowly get taken back into the story and find out why. For me the the love between Mikki and Pea was something so beautiful, it could be felt through the whole story. There were moments when Mikki is remembering times with Blake that made me laugh, and others where I wanted to slap him so hard. These two fell into an accidental love that opened a giant can of worms neither of them could have anticipated.

A real story of love and family that I thoroughly enjoyed. Once again Jettie got it just right for me.

Four Stars from me!

Running smack into one man while trying to get to another wasn’t part of the plan. I never meant to plow into him. I was upset, running from a pain that followed me. The fact that he needed me was not only a blessing, but an omen as well. I could get far, far away from the agony and never look back. I could get to the one man I wanted to suffer, and never let him see me coming. It was the perfect plan.

I was the blinded one, oblivious to what was impending. Propositions and untied shoes, lies and runny noses, betrayal and playdates, all things I never saw coming. Unconditional love was forced down my throat, compelling me to do things I had to do. I ran.

No matter what they say, it wasn’t about the money. It was never about the money.

Jettie Woodruff is a lifelong writer, living in a pretend world since she was a little girl. Jettie spent hours filling pages of spiral notebooks with a number two pencil and a wild imagination. Her very first story was a sci-fi of all things.

Jettie writes more along the lines of deep now. She likes to keep her readers on edge, and deliver a story that will pull out every emotion possible. Writing on the edge of taboo and dark, Jettie hopes to distribute an adventure you'll not soon forget.

Married for twenty five years, raising two boys and one girl has left lots of writing material. She has recently become a grandma to not one, but two of the most beautiful little girls on planet earth.

Jettie also hates doing this bio. That's all you get. She loves to read and write. What else is there? <3
