**REVIEW** GREY by E L JAMES

In Christian’s own words, and through his thoughts, reflections, and dreams, E L James offers a fresh perspective on the love story that has enthralled millions of readers around the world

.

CHRISTIAN GREY exercises control in all things; his world is neat, disciplined, and utterly empty – until the day that Anastasia Steele falls into his office, in a tangle of shapely limbs and tumbling brown hair. He tries to forget her, but instead is swept up in a storm of emotion he cannot comprehend and cannot resist. Unlike any woman he has known before, shy, unworldly Ana seems to see right through him – past the business prodigy and the penthouse lifestyle to Christian’s cold, wounded heart.

Will being with Ana dispel the horrors of his childhood that haunt Christian every night? Or will his dark sexual desires, his compulsion to control, and the self-loathing that fills his soul drive this girl away and destroy the fragile hope she offers him?

I read fifty shades years ago back when it was a fanfiction and I really love the books. Another five star read from the fifty shades author . I did like the different point of view it filled in some blanks. Seeing Ana though Christians eyes was amazing. we know Ana sees herself as a plain Jane but Christian sees her as a innocent beauty.

Christian is very educated and Erika has shown this with her language in this book, the first book I have had to download a dictionary for and used on several occasions. In some scenes it was like a different story as two people can share an experience and it be totally different emotionally ( the punishment where Ana leaves at the end of book 1)
This ended quite nicely for me but I let the last chapter drag as I didn't want to say goodbye to these two characters. In fact I read the whole book over two days instead of gobbling it up at once as i wanted to savour my time with them.
I enjoyed the emotional experience of reading Christians point of view as we learnt about the crack whore and *Mrs Robinson/ Elena Lincoln*
A must for all Fifty Shades fans
