**REVIEW** FIRST ONE MISSING by TAMMY COHEN

A page-turning pyschological thriller with the gripping plot of GIRL ON A TRAIN and the chilling suspense of BEFORE I GO TO SLEEP ...
There are three things no-one can prepare you for when your daughter is murdered:
- You are haunted by her memory day and night
- Even close friends can't understand what you are going through.
- Only in a group with mothers of other victims can you find real comfort. But as the bereaved parents gather to offer support in the wake of another killing, a crack appears in the group that threatens to rock their lives all over again.
Welcome to the club no one wants to join.
‘A taut, psychologically gripping, gut-wrenching thriller from one of my favourite writers.’ - LISA JEWELL

4.5 *WOW I'm not even sure how i feel about this book, paedophilla is hard to read about but it was not detailed and coasted over those bits but it was necessary for the story for it to be mentioned. i found the book often hard to follow as you had to guess whose POV you were reading. i liked the fact that i couldn't / didn't guess the ending. Tammy writes quite likeable and honest characters and i became emotionally involved with many of the characters. It's a difficult subject to read as a parent i struggled as my brain was thinking "thank god this is a book and not my family". the book stands high in its genre, psychological thriller that is utterly compelling in its story about girls going missing and the bodies being dumped on hampstead heath. the story follows "megans angels" a support group for the missing girls parents and how the parents cope with their grief.
