** REVIEW ** #NUTS by ALICE CLAYTON

The New York Times bestselling author of Wallbanger and Rusty Nailed is back with Nuts, the first in a brand new series set in New York’s beautiful Hudson Valley.
Roxie Callahan is a private chef to some of Hollywood’s wealthiest, and nastiest, calorie-counting wives. After a dairy disaster implodes her carefully crafted career in one fell ploop, she finds herself back home in upstate New York, bailing out her hippie mother and running the family diner.
When gorgeous local farmer Leo Maxwell delivers her a lovely bunch of organic walnuts, Roxie wonders if a summer back home isn’t such a bad idea after all. Leo is heavily involved in the sustainable slow food movement, and he likes to take his time. In all things. Roxie is determined to head back to the west coast as soon as summer ends, but will the pull of lazy fireflies and her very own Almanzo Wilder be enough to keep her home for good?
Salty. Spicy. Sweet. Nuts. Go on, grab a handful.

Small town girl who loves her city life loses her job and needs to go home to her small town, dreading going “home” Roxy packs up and takes a deep breath. Instead of her city job as a personal chef to the rich and famous, Roxy is running her mums diner while her mum goes away for 3 months. Alice writes so much fun in her books, i love this “rom com “ it just breaths fresh air into your kindle/ book shelf. Roxy isn't impressed when she arrives at the diner and nothing has changed, not even the recipes. her fist day when she is knee deep in sugar snap peas and she has a tumble with the local hot farmer Leo and it is insta lust. over the summer these guys have a fling and it starts to become more when she remakes the dishes in the diner. Leo is holding something back and will it kill them or solidify this into something more. i can honestly say this isn't Alice’s best work but it is a great fun read
